Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Uploaded 3D models. Used to calculate the quote. A model that only got a quote is deleted automatically 30 days after it was last used. If you send it to the shop with a print request, a copy is kept with the request so the shop can print it (see "How long we keep files").
• Quote details (printer, material, options, price, file name). Kept so the shop can see its quote count and so a print request can refer to the quote.
• Custom requests and orders. Your description, measurements, preferences, contact details and up to 5 photos (re-saved without EXIF/location data), plus order documents and status history. Shown only to the shop you sent them to, and to anyone you share your private order link with.
• Print requests. When you click "Request this print", we store your name, email and notes, plus the quote, and show them only to that shop.
• Shop accounts. Shop name, link name, email and a securely hashed password (argon2). We never store passwords in plain text.
• Technical data. IP addresses are held briefly in memory for rate limiting. Our hosting and network providers (Cloudflare) may keep standard request logs.

Your files stay yours

You keep ownership of the models and photos you upload. Neither Sliceworth nor the print shop owns them or claims any rights in them. We use them only to quote and print your order, then delete them on the schedule below. See Terms 4a.

How long we keep files

• Models that only got a quote: deleted 30 days after last use.
• Models, preview images and custom-request photos sent to a shop: kept while the request or order is open, then deleted 30 days after the order is Done or Cancelled. Requests that never become an order: files deleted 90 days after they were sent.
• A daily cleanup job does the deleting automatically. Database backups (kept 14 days) may hold order records, but not model files or photos, for up to 14 more days.
• A shop deleting its account removes all its files right away.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your data.
• We don't use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
• We don't share customer contact details with anyone except the shop you sent the request to.

Age

The service is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you think a minor has sent us details, email us and we'll delete them.

Cookies

Shop owners who log in get a single secure, HttpOnly session cookie. Customers getting quotes don't receive cookies from us. Fonts and 3D libraries load from Google Fonts and jsDelivr.

Your choices (pending review)

Shops can delete their account and all of its data from the dashboard. Customers who sent a print request can ask that shop to delete their details.

Email

We send only service emails (new requests to shops; quotes, invoices and shipping updates to customers; password resets), never marketing, and shops can turn each type off. Email is delivered by Cloudflare Email Sending, with Google (Gmail) as a backup.

Payments

When online payments are switched on, card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page and go to Stripe and the shop's Stripe account. Shops that pay for a plan also pay through Stripe; we keep the plan and billing status, not card details. We never see or store card numbers.

Service providers

Cloudflare (hosting, network, email), Google (backup email and web fonts) and Stripe (shop plan subscriptions and, when a shop turns them on, customer card payments).
